The Boys soccer team kept up the tradition of excellence
in soccer this year by finishing first in the western division
of the CSC with an impressive record of 14 wins and 3 losses. The
team was lead by 9 seniors including: Dan Carlson (CAPT), Jean
Patricio (CAPT), Jason Ferreira, Matt Lorkiewicz, Ryan Kennedy,
Oscar Marquez, Kenny Sautter, Can Tastan, Kevin Malta, and Felipe
Amorin. The team battled for first place with Platt Tech for most
of the season. They avenged a 1-2 loss to Platt by beating them
at home 3-0. They kept their excellent season at Bullard Haven
by coming back from 0-3 at half time, and winning 5-4. They ended
the regular season by beating New Fairfield High School on their
senior night 4-3. The Wolverine advanced to the league semi-finals,
and to the second round of the class “M” state tournament.
Honors achieved by individual
players include: Jean Patricio-All League 2nd team, Oscar Marquez-All League
1st team, Aislan Santori-All League 1st Team, Raphael Carvalho-All League 1st
team, All State class “M”.
