LEARN THE ART OF THE INTERVIEW

Career Development Instructor, Mrs. Fay, invited two local business owners to Abbott Tech to prepare students for their fist job interview.  Adam Broderick, owner of Adam Broderick Salon & Spa in Ridgefield and Southbury, and Carmine Iapallucio, owner of Carmine’s Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning in Danbury, recently worked with eleventh grade students at Abbott Tech.

The junior hairdressing/cosmetology students and plumbing/heating students, as part of their Career Development course, participated in mock job interviews with the employers.  Adam Broderick and Carmine Iapaluccio took time from their busy schedules to work with the students on dress code, question and answer techniques, body language and business research skills.  Students commented that they had learned a lot about job interview skills and how to make a good first impression.
