During period one,

for a little fun,

teachers will recite

poetry... all right?

While you are waiting for seating,

or while you are speedily eating,

on Thursday, too soon?

or Friday at noon

While at Jasmin's... some poems they'll be reading.

You will be tempted

to read the clever verses

in the school hallways

Poetry Ambassadors roaming in the hall,

Limericks and sonnets will be their special call.

English, Spanish, Portuguese, the language doesn't matter.

Reading with expression will drown the idle chatter.

And.... if you want to try your own verse,

           you really coudn't do worse!
