HATS PFSO 2009-2010 MEMBERSHIP/VOLUNTEER FORM
PARENT INVOLVEMENT IS THE KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL YEAR!
The Henry Abbott Technical High School Parent/Faculty/Student Organization’s main goal is to facilitate communication and involvement between parents and the HATS faculty and student body to provide a positive learning experience for your son or daughter during their years at Abbott Tech.
All parents are welcome to join and may attend any of our meetings (please see the website for specific dates throughout the 2009-2010 school year.) Membership is $10 per family/faculty to help supplement our fundraising activities such as assemblies, programs, and many senior scholarship awards (PFSO membership is mandatory to qualify for a Senior Scholarship award granted in June 2010). Our meetings last approximately 60 minutes and are usually held the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Please check the website monthly as meetings are rescheduled based on school activities. We also sponsor events throughout the year such as the Teacher/Staff Appreciation Breakfast (Aug), information tables at Open Houses and Conferences (Oct/Nov), snack bars at basketball games(Jan-Mar), incoming Freshman Orientation (May) and our Annual Scholarship/Alumni Golf Tournament (June). As a school with students enrolled from various area communities, we value any ideas or suggestions that you would like to offer, and would appreciate any time you have to volunteer.
Please plan on becoming a part of this organization, not only by joining with a $10 membership, but also consider donating your time and talents throughout the year as well.
