Congressman Chris Murphy visits Abbott Tech

Celia Bacelar and her family-owned and operated newspaper, La Tribuna, invited Congressman Chris Murphyand local businesspeople to a dinner at Henry Abbott Tech.  The Culinary Arts students planned and prepared the menu.  After touring the school, Congressman Murphy posed for pictures, had dinner, and fielded questions.

Samantha Raymond, a junior, wrote about the experience:

The dinner for the Congressman and his party went very well. The food was put out on time and it looked great.  We can tell you it tasted great, too, seeing as how we had few extra dishes that we were allowed to sample.  Everything in the kitchen ran smoothly, and everyone was happy with the results.  Meeting Congressman Chris Murphy was an honor for all of the kitchen staff.  It was definitely something we would be pleased to do again.
