Electrical
students recently worked together with Connecticut Light and Power
(CL&P) on a project in Danbury. The linesmen from CL&P
set the transformer that powers up the Macko building that Abbott
Tech Electricians were wiring. The Linemen connected the lines
on the pole to the underground feeders to the transformer. The
students under the supervision of Electrical Department Head George
Ballard helped set the transformer into place and tied in the
secondary lines to the lugs on the transformer which were 750
kcmil AL. XHHW. There were 2 sets of 4 wires in each 4 inch conduit. |
