The 2008 season was one of growth. Points scored
versus opponent points increased to 86%. Total points scored in
2008 were 193 of points scored in 2007. Game winning percentage
increased to 32% and for the first time ever Cheney posted match
wins finishing the season with a 4-13 record putting them at winning
23% of the matches . Senior Captains Alex Gerrow and Cory Jerr
were key components to the team’s
success this year. Hard attacks and strong back court play by 4th
year player Alex Gerrow were complimented by the good court sense
and well placed sets of Cory Jerr. Other key players were Juniors
Ben Threlfall, Koby Gehl, Steve Bimonte and Travis Theriaque. |
