Ms. Stack's students are encouraged to invite guest speakers from the community to our Civics classes.  Guest speakers provide the students with many opportunities for authentic learning experiences related to politics, citizenship, journalism and government.  Students invite, schedule, and introduce the guest speakers to the class. They also follow up the guest presentation with a thank you letter to the speaker.

Sophomore student Cory Rosacker invited Bob Englehart, Political Cartoonist for the Courant, to come to Ms. Stack's class.  On Wednesday, October 21st Mr. Englehart presented a very educational and entertaining class concerning his career as a Political Cartoonist. Everyone in attendance enjoyed his presentation very much. Thank you Mr. Englehart and Cory Rosacker!
