CHENEY
TECH STUDENT OF THE YEAR HONORED
Kelanda
Radney, a Senior in the Computer Aided Drafting and Design program,
has been selected as Cheney Tech's Student of the Year.
She is a bright and responsible young lady who gives 110% of her
effort to everything she does. Kelanda is the Vice President of
Skills USA, she was Inducted into the National Honor Society in
2006, has done numerous community service projects such as canned
food drives, Christmas in April, and Coat Drives for the needy.
She works for United Steel INC. through CWE and Shaws while still
maintaining a 3.9 GPA and becoming a role model to her peers. She
will be attending the University of Hartford in the Fall of 2007
with aspirations of becoming an architect. Kelanda Radney is Cheney
Tech’s class of 2007 Valedictorian.
Kelanda, along with Students of the Year from the other 17 Technical
High Schools, was honored at the annual Students of the Year Luncheon
at Platt Technical High School on Thursday, May 30rd. Congratulations
Kelanda!
