Masonry Seniors Complete Intricate Tile Creation for Shop Fair/Open House
The donation of the blue and yellow tiles from the Creations Tile Factory in Hartford made possible a fantastic creation by two Seniors of the Masonry program. Because of the generous donation, Seniors Amanda Stringer and Emerald Thurlow managed to complete a large mosaic mural of the school mascot for this year’s upcoming Shop Fair/Open House on November 25, 2008. Instructors Steve Daly and Mike Daigle said that the entire Masonry shop is excited to continue their education in tiling. Creations Tile Factory has already hired three graduates from the Ellis Tech Masonry program and may take on more Ellis Tech Masonry students as part of the Work Based Learning program. |

Below is a letter of gratitude to Creations Tile Factory for their donation. Dear Creations Factory: The donation of the blue and yellow tiles was greatly appreciated. Because of your generous donation, yesterday we managed to complete a large mosaic mural of our school mascot for our school’s open house on November 25, 2008. Our entire shop is excited to continue our education in tiling, and you have made that possible. In the future, we hope that we are considered for more donations. We would enjoy seeing you at our open house so you can see this project in person as well as in the included photo.
