The 2008 E.C. Goodwin 50/50 Walk took place on May 19th. The walkers walked from the Stop and Shop on West Main and Corbin Avenue in New Britain to E.C. Goodwin wearing the 50/50 shirts donated to them from Mag and Sons. Electronics teacher Steve Massey provided music, fun, and entertainment before the walk while Stop and Shop manager Dan Poulin provided beverages, balloons, and assistance.

After the walkers arrived to E.C. Goodwin, they were treated to submarine sandwiches provided by Stop and Shop and cookies, chips, and soda from the E.C. Goodwin parents and staff.

All-in all, the event raised over $1000.00 which will be split 50/50 between the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to support research and Skill USA to help send Rebecca Washington to the National Competition in Kansas City.
