Dear Principal Anderson,

I want to thank you and your staff for making such a fun and inspirational day possible. Today, two of my friends and I enjoyed a fantastic morning at your school because last week I won the raffle for “Spa Day”. This fund raiser, which was for the 10th grade class, was the ingenious idea of Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Chretien.  It consisted of a few hours in the salon getting pampered, topped off with a lunch, which was a taste bud sensation prepared by the culinary class.  

Our experience in the salon was wonderful and the student’s creative skills are remarkable.  Not only are the students polite, and fun, their creativity, skills, and knowledge of the art are to be boasted.  I was extremely impressed.  Ms. Grant has done an exceptional job creating such a positive learning environment. It seems as if she effortlessly makes learning fun. She has shaped many very talented young people.………………Move over Vidal Sassoon!

After having our manicures and hair styled, we proceeded to the culinary lunch room where we were handed an impressive menu from which to choose.  Because I like food with a little zip, I chose the taco salad which was served in a “melt in the mouth” taco shell.  The salad dressing was divine, as well as the chicken pieces, which had a nice little kick. The presentation was culinary art at its best.  We didn’t see too many of the students, but what they were cooking up in the kitchen was heavenly!

E C Goodwin Technical School is one of the best little known secrets in New Britain.  What a find!
