Hello all,
I am very proud of all of our students that competed in the skills USA competition on Friday.
These students demonstrated commitment to their trade and gave up a “day-off” from school.
They left early that morning, and some did not return home until 10pm that evening.
I watched our Electro-Mechanical students compete and was very impressed by their display of teamwork, professionalism and attention to detail.
Not only did my students compete against other top-notch Tech schools in our system, but they had to trouble-shoot a problem with the robot- before the competition started.
This is our first-ever SKILLS competition and win for robotics, unfortunately it looks like it will be Goodwin’s last- since the Electro-Mechanical Program is being terminated.
I am very proud of these students, and wish them well for the national competition in Kansas City.
I have attached some pictures.
Sincerely,
Steven Orie
