Tech Students Work on Special Project for Cancer Patients

Tech students recently worked on a special project for the ConKerr
organization.
The ConKerr Organization makes fun
and collorful pillowcases for pediatric
oncology patients who are going through chemotherapy. Over
18,000 pillow cases have been donated thanks
especially to a recent grant from St. Christopher's Foundation
for Children. According to Fashion Technology Department Head
Maryellen Gilmartin, the students at Goodwin Tech made 48 pillowcases
that will be delivered to the patients.

to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Lehight Valley
Hospital, St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital,
Shriner's Hospital, and Temple Children's Hospital in Philadelphia,
Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey, Nemours
Alfred duPont Hospital for Children in Delaware, and Yale New
Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
