The Connecticut Academic Performance Test is administered every spring to all 10th graders throughout the state.  There are 5 levels of proficiency measure on CAPT.

(1) Below basic (2) Basic (3) Proficient (required for graduation) (4) Goal (5) Advanced

The four content areas tested are mathematics, science, reading across the disciplines, and writing across the disciplines.  The Connecticut State Board of Education recognizes, with special certificates, individuals that have achieved the highest standards of goal or advanced.

Mr. Paradis, Guidance Counselor, and Mrs. Keith, Assistant Principal, presented these prestigious awards to Grasso students while they were in shop cycle.

The class of 2009 were honored to have 52% achieve this high standard
