On Wednesday
November 12th, Mr. Baker’s Mathematical Applications
class conducted a debate on teenage driving “Are teens really
the worst drivers?”. The female students in the class
had to prove that teenagers are really the worst drivers and used
basic statistics and graphs to show that more teenagers get into
fatal accidents than any other group of drivers. The male
students in the the class had to show that teenagers are not the
worst drivers. They used some of the same statistics to show that
seniors are really worse drivers than teenagers. Below
are a few examples of the graphs they used to prove their points.

After
the debate the class decided that overall teenagers are worse drivers
and further laws and education should be used to help prevent the
number one cause for teenage deaths.
