Annual Grasso Tech Field Day Continues to Foster School Spirit and
Sportsmanship
On Friday, May 25, fabulous weather was the backdrop to a fun and exciting field day. DJ Rocking Rollin provided and outstanding soundtrack to the day’s events. Among the more traditional track & field events, some other favorites of the day were the jello-eating contest and water balloon toss. Grasso Tech extends a special thanks to the Connecticut State Police for visiting with the “Seatbelt Convincer,” and to the 1109th AVCRAD Army National Guard, Groton, for literally dropping in with a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. After a delicious cook-out-style lunch, the apex of the day’s events occurred with the tug-o-war competition, in which each shop demonstrated school spirit and good sportsmanship. Congratulations to Auto Body (3rd), Bio-Environmental Technology (2nd), and Electrical (1st). |
