Shiny blue and silver balloons tossed on a windy and beautiful May 15th evening as the families of incoming freshmen arrived to celebrate their joining our Grasso Tech family. All guests were greeted by the smiles of our students and staff as our new freshmen received our school’s colors at the check in table.

Delicious hot dogs and hamburgers were expertly grilled by great looking Grasso Tech teachers. More teachers, counselors, and administrators kept the food ever ready, and mingled to share their best wishes with the new freshmen and their families.

Did you say food? Grasso students heard that word and they were there in force to lend a hand, and have a burger too. They are the real pride of Grasso Tech.

As refreshing lemon ices were enjoyed, Mrs. Bell delivered words of welcome. Parents and students received a welcome packets containing helpful information every new Grasso student should know. Mrs. Clarkson, Mrs. Dacek, Mr. Willoughby, Mrs. Fafard, and Mr. Blake touched on getting prepared for the great things to come in the next four years. Tours were provided, and a good time was had by all.

Grasso Tech’s second annual New Freshmen Welcome Picnic was a great success.
