School Academic Uniform Policy
Shirts: Academic
uniform shirts must be purchased from the school store and
be of proper fit. Shirts must not hang below pants pockets. Shirts
with the Grasso logo are offered in a variety of styles including
long and short sleeve polo shirts, and Henley-style shirts.
Color options for shirts are navy and gray.
Under Shirts: If students
choose to wear a shirt under the uniform shirt, it must be
solid color white, black, navy or gray. Under shirts
may not hang lower than the uniform shirt.
Sweatshirts: As of January
31, 2008 the only approved outerwear worn during school will
be the uniform sweatshirt without the hood.Academic
uniform sweatshirts must be purchased from the school store. Color
options include navy and gray. From now until January
31st, navy, black, gray and white sweatshirts without logos
will be permitted as outerwear. Jackets and coats are not
permitted.
Pants: Students must
wear classic style pants in navy, black or tan only. Jeans,
athletic wear, sweats and cargo pants are not acceptable. All
pants must fit properly and cover undergarments.
Belts: A belt is not
mandatory but preferred. If students wear belts they must be
a solid color white, black, navy, gray or brown without studs
or decoration.
Skirts: Girls may
wear navy, black or tan skirts or skorts as long as the length
is appropriate. Two inches above the knee or longer is the
rule.
Shorts: Students are
allowed to wear navy, black or tan shorts as long as the length
is appropriate. Two inches above the knee or longer is the
rule.
Shoes: Students must
wear sneakers, close-toed shoes with backs or work boots that
are white, brown, gray or black in color.
Defacing
of Uniform is Prohibited: This includes cutting,
decorating and alterations of any kind. |
