February 3, 2010 Dear Parent/Guardian: This letter is to inform you of some exciting events and changes taking place during your student’s last year here at Grasso Technical High School. Important Dates The Junior/Senior Prom will be held on May 8th at Water’s Edge in Westbrook, CT. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Ticket prices have not yet been determined. It is important that all Seniors are current with his or her student dues. A copy of this letter was sent to all Class of 2010 households with an enclosed Student Account which states the amount of dues owed, if any. In order to participate in certain school events during the year, this amount must be paid. Dues can be paid during student lunches in the Main Office or by mailing the enclosed payment form to the school.
Also listed on the Student Account sent through the maill are any textbooks or school materials that have not been returned by your child. If the book is not returned to the Main Office, the cost to replace each item must be paid in order to participate in certain school events. To make an unreturned textbook payment, please use the enclosed payment form.
Yearbooks are on sale! Orders are now being taken in the main office or by using the enclosed order form. Yearbook prices are as follows: February 1st the price is $90. On April 1st the price increases to $100. On May 1st the price will be $110.
Unfortunately, because the Class of 2010 did very little fundraising and with the current state of the economy, Seniors will need to pay for their caps and gowns. The prices are as follows: $40 through March 31; $45 through April 30; and $55 through May 28. These prices include a cap, gown and one tassel. Extra tassels can be purchased for $2. For your convenience, we have enclosed a payment
form (Adobe Acrobat File) that can
be mailed to Grasso when making a payment for student dues, textbooks,
yearbooks, and/or the cap and gown. Students may also bring
the form to the Main Office during their lunch break.
