Eleventh grade Drafting students were tasked with designing a single family home, one that meets several design criteria, size limits and zoning limitations. In the following year, these students then model their house designs at ¼” to the foot using realistic building materials.

Two seniors entered their house designs at the recent 2008 Hartford Home show. The Home Builder’s Association of Hartford assembles a jury of builders and architects who judge the contestant’s home designs against a list of criteria. The two entries by Grasso Tech.s Craig Kelly and Tim Libby earned much praise for their character and the thought given to energy efficiency. Congratulations to them both!
