Grasso Technical High School Hospitality and Customer Service Department attended Skills USA’s Food & Beverage Competition on March 28, 2008 at Vinal Tech in Middletown, CT. Kailah Pfugbeil, grade 10, received the first place award in Food & Beverage and will be attending Skills USA National competition in Kansas City, Missouri from June 22-28, 2008. Kathy Lemus, grade 10, received a 2nd place trophy and Aisha Taylor, grade 11, received a 3rd place trophy. Jasmine Rivera, grade 11 and LeKeisha Taylor, grade 9, was a finalist in the state competition. The competitors who also participated in the competition are Tylea Banks and Fetlange Ottilien from grade 12. Shauna Delmage, Katie Dimaggio, Katie Fouse, Danielle Permenter, Anthony Rollins from grade 11. Jessica Olmstead, Natasha Perez from grade 10. |
