On
Friday February 6, 2009, Mr. Kevin Plourde, an Admissions Representative
from Clemens College in Suffield, Connecticut
visited
the Hospitality Management Department to speak to
the junior class. He talked to the Hospitality Students about
what Clemens has to offer.
It
was very interesting to hear the new and exciting things that
are going on at Clemens. Clemens’ focuses
on Culinary and Hospitality. Each program is 18 months long: 12
months are in class and the other 6 months are in a paid internship.
You can do your internship in any part of the United States.
Some are paid internships.
When
you attend class you are expected to be in either chef attire for
the culinary program or in business attire (suit, skirts, etc.).
You are also expected to wear a name tag just like you would do
in the real world. They also have an articulation agreement
with Johnson & Wales
College. The class of 2010 really enjoyed Mr. Plourde being here
and learned a lot of useful information about Clemens College.
