On
Friday, April 25, 2008 the 10th and 11th graders of Hospitality
and Customer Service Management Program demonstrated how
to learn and donate to their community. At the Crocker
House in New London CT, they provided the set up for a benefit
serving 240 people in cooperation with Mrs. Anna Lathrop
from Gourmet Galley. The benefit benefitted unprivileged
kids in Haiti. They learned the correct table set-up for
round tables with twelve, ten and nine chairs. Some students
also had the chance to learn how to read a floor diagram.
Other topics included table lines across from one another,
the correct way of setting a plate down next to the silverware.
Catering and its importance as a hospitality/customer service
career was also explained. |
