Christopher Haughton, a Junior in the Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) Program at Grasso Tech, has been working at Groton Utilities since November, 2006. Groton Utilities is a municipally owned and operated utility providing both electric and water services serving a population of more than 35,000 consumers in Southeastern Connecticut. On his shop cycle, Christopher works a full day giving him the opportunity to apply his design knowledge in a real world situation. He gains valuable experience and gets paid while he is doing it. When he graduates, Christopher will have a definite edge over high school students who are looking for employment in the field of Computer Aided Drafting and Design.
