Cody Cawthra, a Senior in the Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Program at Grasso Tech, has been working at Lanmar Aviation since March, 2007. Based at Groton Airport, Lanmar is a fixed based operation which provides fueling, hangar services, charter flights and maintenance services. Cody works at Lanmar from 12 pm to 5 pm every day. He performs a wide variety of tasks including fueling, towing, detailing, and repair work. Cody's supervisor Jesse Edwards who is Line Operations Manager at Lanmar said that Cody has worked out very well. "He has a strong work ethic. He's knowledgeable and a very independent worker."

Cody says that he really enjoys working at Lanmar. "It's a great place to work. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I feel a part of the team here." He said that he has always been very interested in aircraft and that this job is a great opportunity for him. Cody's Work Based Learning experience at Lanmar has been so sucessful that he has been offered to work at the company after he graduates in June.
