John Westhaver from the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation was with us on April 11 to speak to our Juniors and Seniors before prom season.  John, a new guest speaker to our school, recounted the story of the terrible car crash that he was involved in as a teen that left him with over 75% of his body burned.

The accident which took the lives of his three friends was caused by speeding and drinking. After surviving weeks in a coma, John, the lone survivor, began his amazing journey of healing and self-discovery which has inspired him to devote himself to helping others.

His moving presentation made our students stop and think about the choices they have in life.
