The
Kaynor Tech Student Council recently toured the capitol building
and legislative office building in Hartford, CT. The Women
League of Voters organized a wonderful tour which included architectural
design of the newer LOB building as well as the many historical
facts of the Capitol building. The
students also enjoyed a visit with Senator Joan Hartley. Senator
Hartley shared some words of wisdom with the students and encouraged
them to work hard in school and become involved with their future
choices as citizens in our communities. The student council
had a wonderful day and look forward to returning to the capitol
building to view the upcoming statue of our state heroine Prudence
Crandall. |
