The
staff at W.F Kaynor got together on Wednesday, March 12, to break
bread and share some memories of one of their own. Veteran
computer instructor Paula Pascale passed way in September 2007. After
a memorial service this fall, Kathy Patrick’s Teen Leadership
class decided there would be no better way to honor her memory than
with a scholarship. So, the Paula Pascale Scholarship was born.
On
the 12th, before a professional development workshop, PD Chair Sue
Loud and Staff Club Officers Diane Johnson, Ethel Grant, and Laurel
Durso orchestrated a Pot Luck Luncheon to raise money for the scholarship
fund.
Staff members were encouraged to bring a dish to share
and make a small donation. The food was fabulous and over $300.00 was
raised for a very worthy cause. The
first scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior this June.
