Thursday, April 26th, Bilingual students from Kaynor Tech and
Abbott Tech got together for the second annual Cultural Exchange.
The students whose cultural backgrounds cover five continents
(Brazil, Columbia, Argentina, Venezuela, Bulgaria, The Dominican
Republic, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Portugal, Vietnam, the Philippines,
Turkey, Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Albania, Cape Verde, Cuba) met
in Alumni Hall on the Western Connecticut State University campus
in Danbury, Connecticut. They participated in several activities
to learn more about each other and to share their experiences
and feelings about adapting to life in the United States. The
activity was arranged and coordinated by Bilingual instructors
Maria Guijarro and Lisa Henriquez from Kaynor Tech and Vanina
Revuelta and Iva Rousseva-Stoev from Abbott Tech. |
