On Friday,
March 24th, 2006, the chess team from Kaynor Tech won the annual
Players Cup competition at Middlesex Community College in Middletown,
Connecticut. This was quite an accomplishment since it was also
the first time that Kaynor has competed in the event. Teams
of students from Tech schools across the state compete in this
annual event to determine who are the kings of chess. Kaynor
narrowly beat last year's champions Wilcox Tech in the final
round of the day. Congratulations to Coach Riddick and your
team!
