PFO/BOOSTER CLUB

OCTOBER 5, 2009

MINUTES

 

 

Meeting was called to order at 5:34 by Arnie Giroux

 

OFFICERS: President-vacant, Dana Wynn, Vice President - absent, Cindy McKeon, Secretary - present, Loree Giroux, Treasurer - present.

 

QUORUM: Karen Edwards, Michelle Cronin, Robin Izbicki, Kristi Munley, Joanne Holland

 

September minutes were reviewed by all in attendance. Loree Giroux motioned. Ms. Cronin seconded. All were in favor.

 

FINANCIAL REPORT:  As of September 30, 2009 the statement balance is $6812.34 with 4 outstanding checks totaling $40.00. Actual checking account balance as of October 4, 2009 is $6772.34. Art Class has a balance of $0.00. Boys Basketball have $746.26. Cheerleaders have $0.00. Music Class has $753.88. Softball has $0.00. Baseball has $0.00. Skills USA has $0.00. Total is $1500.14. Actual balance less accounts is $5272.14 Arnie Giroux motioned. Ms. Cronin seconded. All were in favor.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Music Class will be doing a cookie dough fundraiser.
  • A PFO flyer went out with the recent school mailing.
  • Ms. Holland asked the PFO, for Ms. Curcio,  if they were interested in having a table at the October 16th Open House.
  • The direction of the PFO was discussed among all in attendance. The fundraising committee is still vacant and is need of  someone to organize it. Also, a  suggestion was made to ask for help through the school web site and to also send out another letter with the progress report mailing. Ms. Munley and Ms. Holland will draft up a letter to be sent out.  Accepting alumni was also discussed and a motion was made by Arnie Giroux to accept any as a PFO member. Ms. Munley seconded. All were in favor.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Ms. Munley is the Junior Class Representative and would like to do another plant sale this spring. Possibly do a tag sale in conjunction, selling space for vendors. Also thinking about doing a food related fundraiser.

 

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:

  • This years enrollment is still good.
  • A new PE instructor was hired.
  • PFO was asked if they were going to supply coffee at the Community Open House. PFO has asked for a dollar amount that will be needed for this.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 6:00 by Arnie Giroux. Loree seconded. All were in favor.
