| The
National Honor Society is an organization promoting recognition
for students with outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship,
character, leadership, and service. Thousands of schools across
the United States are chartered and have chapters actively involved
in school leadership and community service. Norwich Tech National
Honor Society members represent our school at various local and
statewide events, organize school-wide activities, and develop their
leadership skills. Colleges and businesses often recruit NHS members,
making scholarships and mentorships readily available.
Selection of the National Honor Society (NHS) candidates begins
with the publication of the second marking term Honor Roll. To be
considered, students must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors and
have maintained Honor Roll status for three consecutive terms. Candidates
are then rated by the NHS Faculty Council on leadership, character
and service.
