Each year the Senior Computer-Aided Drafting and Design students prepare to enter the world of work. This year was no exception. Dressing for success and practicing interviewing skills were part of the daunting tasks they needed to perform.
The students spent many hours preparing a portfolio to showcase their work performed over the last three years. Once all of the drawings were polished and approved by their instructor, Mr. Haynes, they were onto developing a resume. Much thought and work went into the creation of their resumes and writing an objective suitable for employment in their trade. Learning they have obtained a valuable skill set and have marketable qualities for someone entering their trade was an uplifting experience for them all. Careful consideration went into choosing their references.
The students underwent dual mock-interviews. They began with the "Human Resource Department", which was either Mr. Tusch or Ms. Nagy. Upon completion they were directed to the "Engineering Manager" Mrs. Marra to discuss their qualifications and display their portfolios. Each student was outstanding! Best of luck to each of the students upon graduation. You have demonstrated a maturity level and professional presence you can be very proud of. |
