SOFTBALL TEAM HITTING HOME AGAINST BREAST
CANCER
The Softball Team is bringing the awareness of Breast Cancer this
season to the Prince Tech Community. One woman in eight has or
will develop Breast Cancer in her lifetime. If detected early,
the five year survival rate for Breast Cancer exceeds 96%. The
National Cancer Institute and U.S Department of Health and Human
Services recommends a complete early detection plan which includes
regular clinical breast examinations by a trained medical professional.
Monthly breast self-exams are suggested in addition.
The
Softball team has joined in the fight against Breast Cancer by
sponsoring the “Hitting Home Against Breast Cancer “campaign.
The campaign consists of pledges from the staff and the Prince
Tech community. The team would like for you to pledge as little
as 5 cents for every run scored for the season. At the end of the
season, we will make a donation to a local Breast Cancer organization.
