S.A.T Dates

The SAT will be December 2, 2007.  The next test date is January 27, 2008; the deadline for registration is December 20, 2007.   Any senior at Cheney who needs help signing up for the SAT see Ms. Coollick.

 

Career Night

Career night will be November 29th 2007, from 5:30 to 7:30. This is a great opportunity for current students and incoming 8th graders to see the shops at Prince Tech.

 

CAPT Academy

The CAPT Academy will begin on November 17, 2007 and will run every Saturday, until the end of March, except on holiday weekends.  If you are interested in attending see Mrs. Wells for information.

 

Recruiting

The School counseling department has begun to recruit at the middle schools.  There is a recruitment team and staff and students will be going along to assist in the process. 

 

Marking Period

First marking period ends on December 3. 2007.

 

 Seniors

If you are interested in college, you need to take the SAT Test.   Please see Mrs. Higgins immediately for upcoming dates. The Hartford Public Library has a free Practice Test for the SAT  Call 695-6321 to register for this and learn about other programs.  Contact schools that you are interested in to determine when their OPEN HOUSE will be held.  This is highly recommended.

- Start working on your plan whether it is to attend college or begin working.  Take the necessary steps NOW to reach your goal.  Finally, Mrs. Higgins will be visiting with all seniors to review transcripts and discuss graduation requirements.

 

Juniors

Juniors – Class of 2009!

Make sure you are passing ALL courses, including electives, with a grade of 70% or better!! 

Students who are failing two or more courses MUST attend after school Tutoring.  Our Goal for his year is 0% course failures.  Put the time in now…complete and turn in all of your assignments …make this your BEST year at Prince Tech!!

Thinking of a Career in your Trade? Earning a College Degree? Joining Military Service?

Schedule to meet with your School Counselor, Mrs. Ardrey, for information. Also, you may attend local College Fairs, now…be prepared for the application process – Senior Year!!

 

Sophomores

This is the year!!!! The CAPT test will be in March. Work hard in your Language arts, math labs and your classes because they will all prepare you for the test.  Keep up the good work.  Remember to be prepared everyday in uniform, tucked in and while in shop have your tools and safety glasses!!!! Make sure to follow dress code for shop and academics.

 

 

Freshman

Welcome, to Prince.  You are going through the first phase of exploratory, remember be prepared with boots, safety glasses and shop shirts, these are part of your grade. Be sure to take advantage of all tutorial programs, not only if you are failing but also if you want to improve your grade.  This will improve your understanding of the subject material which in turn will help you on the next years CAPT test, remember this is a graduation requirement. Please see Mr. Stub for information about the free tutoring services.
