The Prince Tech food drive was concluded for the 2009 season with over 40 baskets of food delivered for Thanksgiving and Christmas to students of AI Prince.
The staff generously donated food and money to combat hunger and despair in these tough economic times. Every basket delivered was met by grateful people. The staff reminds people to give during the rest of the year, also, and to be mindful of the need of those in our community. This level of community service is evident in a letter sent to staff by Eric Eaton, organizer of the food drive, which read:
Once again, Prince Tech came through! With your help, we were able to feed 20 families! Thanks to Ms. Crocker and Fashion for the bags, Mr. Johnson, Ms. Leonard, Ms. Quish, Ms. Maryanne Nunez for driving and delivering, Rich Collier and Dave Cardona for refrigeration space, Mr. Sharp for the truckload of groceries, the Staff of caring Teachers, administrators and support staff who donated canned goods, money, and hams, and Mr. Chaffin for allowing the whole process to happen. Have a safe and prosperous New Year's! You did it!
Anyone up for an Easter Food Drive?
Sincerely,
Eric A. Eaton |
