FALCON FITNESS CLUB
This club will be open to all students and staff. Our goal is health and well-being. This is a fun activity for all, not just those that want to lose weight. It is a school bonding experience through healthy activities. We will try and commit to a healthier lifestyle for the next few months and hopefully forever. You can participate in the activities, share recipes and take advantage of a variety of services in our health clinic offered by Nurse Devine and Wally (our APRN)
Advantages of participating:
Share recipes with the staff and students.
Blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol check – just to mention a few of the free services offered by our great health clinic.
Weekly goals and messages will be sent.
Exercise classes are being organized – cross fit, walking club, running club, aerobics classes, fitness room activities.
Always consult your doctor before any exercise and dieting.
If your goal is to lose weight please don’t try and lose too much too quickly. The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to do so gradually. Set goals for yourself for exercise and eating. A great way to start would be to set a goal of losing one pound per week. Aerobic exercise for 30 minutes 4 or 5 days a week (walking is a great start) and cutting out soda, sports drinks, and any high calorie drinks will help you to lose one pound per week.
The Falcon Fitness Club is open to anyone that is interested in getting into shape and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The purpose of the club is to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle while fostering friendship, unity and healthy choices among its members. The Falcon Fitness Club is a Judgment Free Zone and a No Peer-Pressure Zone set in friendly and comfortable atmosphere where you will work at your own level with guidance from Instructional staff members.
