Vinal Technical High School is a regional school that draws students from 26 different sending areas.

3.            Strengths of Vinal's Demonstration Site Grant 

·         Gap Analysis determined similarities between the VTE and STC systems

·         Adding to an already strong VTE philosophy and occupational base

·         Instructional expertise in occupational competencies and workplace requirements

·         Tools and resources (community and business network and support)

·         Integration of Technologies and Academics using Project-Based Learning

·         Authentic work site experiences

·         Development of Career Center for Cluster Research, Freshman Foundation Course, coordination center for the work-place readiness curriculum that has at its foundation the CT Academic and Employability Skill Requirements, educational and work experience portfolios, both hard copy and electronic.

·         Coordination and leadership on STC goals and objectives through the School Improvement Teams.

·         Professional development is ongoing
