| The
Peer Mediation program trains selected students in the skills
required to successfully resolve interpersonal conflicts (e.g.,
communication, problem solving, anger management, mediation).
These Peer Mediators in turn work with other members of the student
body who are involved in an interpersonal conflict. The philosophy
of the program is based on the knowledge that youth tend to turn
to other youth, rather than to adults, with their problems. The
Peer Mediation program teaches students that they can learn the
skills to successfully resolve their own conflicts. |
