Vinal Tech SkillsUSA Officers attend
the Chamber of Commerce Breakfast

Dressed professionally in their SkillsUSA red jackets, the Vinal Tech SkillsUSA officers attended the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce breakfast on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza, Grand Ballroom in Cromwell, CT.  The students attended with SkillsUSA advisor, Michele Leahy and Dean of Students, Michael Faenza. 

 

The students listened to guest speakers as they enjoyed their breakfast and when the event was over, they assisted the Chamber of Commerce by manning a booth in the hallway promoting the 2008 Career Expo for High School Students which will be held at the Freeman Athletic Center of Wesleyan University on April 30, 2008.  The students learned first hand some “networking” techniques as they spoke with chamber members and breakfast attendees about the Expo.  The students even had time to grab a photo opportunity with Middletown Mayor Sebastian Giuliano and former Congressman, Rob Simmons who is now representing the State of CT as the Business Advocate.  Attendees remarked and complimented the students for their professionalism.
