prime function of the counselors
is to help students begin a realistic appraisal of their abilities,
achievements, interests and values so that they will be better
able to make intelligent, personal, occupational, and educational
decisions. All students need to be aware of the alternatives to
and consequences of their decisions, and a counselor will provide
them an opportunity to assess these situations.
The Guidance Department maintains a library of college catalogs
and vocational information for student's use. A current
list of available scholarships is also available.
All
students are invited to come to the guidance office with any questions
or problems, and they are urged to make frequent use of the many
materials that are available.
