On October 8, 2009 Eli Whitney held their annual recruitment fair / open house. The event was a huge success. Our School Counseling department invited 7th and 8th graders from the following school districts (Hamden, New Haven, North Haven, West Haven, East Haven, and Branford).  We had over 450 people in attendance, and we gave out over 200 applications to future Eli Whitney students.  We had complete staff involvement along with members of our Alumni Association and the Trade and Technology Advisory Committees (TTAC) Committees.

Displays were set up in the gym as well as in each trade area, and guests were greeted by staff and students alike. The centerpeice display in the gymnasium was a room built as a joint project by Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical.

It was a great opportunity for our students to show how special Eli Whitney THS is!
