At
the start of the 2009-2010 school year, the Health Technology
department dug right into work in their new clinical lab.
The Juniors will start their clinical rotation on September
29th of this year. They will need to cover a great
many clinical skills. The new learning lab has a great
deal to offer our students: the open space of the
lab allows the students to spread out and have more room
to practice and not feel so cramped.
The
new lab has grown by leaps and bounds! Last year, there were only
3 hospital beds and 7 computer stations and we now have 7
hospital beds and 20 computer terminals. We have expanded
our supply of technological equipment as well. This will
allow the students to have a more “real world” approach
to the healthcare atmosphere. In addition to clinical
practice and experience, all grade levels will be able to
use the lab for their educational needs. |
