Mr.
Tom Kenyon, Manufacturing Technology Instructor and Mr. Angel
Perez, Manufacturing Technology Department Head were recently
honored by the New Haven Manufacturers Association (NHMA) receiving
a special award given to exemplary teachers for their superior
work with students. Together they received their awards along
with accompanying letters of recognition.
The following, is the body of the letter, which was presented to both Mr. Kenyon and Mr. Perez by Mr. Robert Klancko, Chairman of the NHMA Workforce Development Committee:
The New Haven Manufacturers Association was very impressed with the extra effort that Eli Whitney’s Manufacturing Technologies students exhibited at our annual meeting. The peg games that your students made, which were used on behalf of our school support programs, were certainly a hit. This extra effort of outreach to the NHMA by supporting our efforts on behalf of students warrants special recognition. The workforce Development Committee, which I chair, is responsible for student outreach and support. It is also focused on teachers and instructors and the recognition of superior programs and efforts. On behalf of the New Haven Manufacturers Association and its Workforce Development Committee, we would like to present you the enclosed Certificate of Appreciation. Your dedication to your profession and your students has created an everlasting impression on all of us. Keep up the good work. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Robert John Klancko, Chairman
