After
having completed their resumes and establishing this years
personal goals, the Manufacturing Technology Senior students
invited members of their Trade and Technology Advisory
Committee (TTAC) to visit the Manufacturing Tech department,
view their early accomplishments and offer any advice and direction
they may have for the students.
Following
a tour from the students and exposure to their resumes and goals,
Cheryl Patrick from Electric Cable Assemblies talked to the students
and was impressed with what she saw and shared this information:
"It was my pleasure meeting
your Senior Manufacturing class. You have some great kids there.
I was very impressed with their skill level, their commitment
to the manufacturing field and the pride they took in their
accomplishments. This is exactly what we look for in new hires
for our organization. I hope they take me up on any questions
they have and they’re always welcome here for a personal
tour. I wish them all the best of luck and look forward to
seeing them in the future. Thanks again for the invite!"
Robert
Klancko from Klancko & Klancko LLC of Woodbridge offered
valuable advice to the students about developing good personable
skills among other traits. Robert was not only pleased with
their resumes but had the following comments on his visit:
"Please
tell your students to keep being diligent and innovative --
they have a bright future ahead of them -- especially with
the quality of teachers they have"
When Jodi Rossi,
President of Equanimity Technologies, Inc, stopped by to meet
the Manufacturing Technology students, he was truly impressed
with what he saw. Each student also signed a card wishing his
mother a speedy recovery. Jody expressed his heartfelt gratitude
to the students and delivered the following message:
"I was impressed with the senior class's innovation, creativity, etiquette, & humble demeanor. Mr. Kenyon, Mr. Perez, and the students parents should be very proud of these students. I know I’m proud of them. In fact, I was inspired by one student’s work that it might have a chance of becoming a product for the marketplace. I’ll
give you more details after the holidays."
The
Manufacturing Technology instructors: Mr. Tom Kenyon and Mr.
Angel Perez are planning several individual visits for the TTAC
members to call on the Seniors throughout the year to help them
prepare for their next step in life. |
