On December 23, Eli Whitney celebrated the success of the junior class by honoring those students who performed well on CAPT and the Connecticut Physical Fitness Test.  Those juniors achieving "Goal" or "Advanced" on sections of CAPT were given their certificates from the State Department of Education.  Additionally, those students who passed 4 out of 5 of these major assessments (the 4 parts of CAPT plus the Physical Fitness Test) were honored with a "CAPT Scholar: tee shirt.  The last part of the ceremony involved inducting an elite group of "Five Star Performers" who passed all five tests.  They received a tee shirt and other items.  Seniors who were "Five Star Performers" for the class of 2009 took seats of honor during the ceremony and helped to welcome the new, bigger group of "Five Star Performers" for the class of 2010.
