For the fifth year in a row students in the
Modern U.S. History classes find themselves learning about "The
Great War" while on the Western Front. The idea behind
the "History
Alive" project is to give students a hands-on approach to
learning. While dug into their trenches students are given excerpts
from Erich Maria Remarque's novel All Quiet on the Western Front,
and images from World War I. Once familiar with each segment
students then act out the experience and then discuss what had
occurred. |
