Congratulations to Matt Fusco and Savon Bou who were chosen as Whitney Tech 's CIAC Student Athletes of the year. Every year the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) honors students for their academic and athletic achievements.

Matt has played on the Whitney Tech baseball team for three years. He is ranked 6th in his class academically and is a member of the National Honor Society. He also participated in the Tech Prep program where he received college credit for taking advanced courses in high school. Savon has played on the softball team for three years. Ranked 3rd in her class academically, she is a member of the National Honor Society, SkillsUSA, and the Student Council. Savon also participated in the Tech Prep program.

Matt and Savon were honored along with the other 320 other Scholar Athletes at a banquet at the Aqua Turf in Southington on Sunday, May 6th.
