Students from Eli Whitney, including members from the National Honor Society, helped run a community Halloween Party in the Wooster Street area of New Haven. The students offered their services by setting up and running the event sponsored by St. Michael's Church and St. Michael's Knights of Columbus Roundtable. The Eli Whitney students helped by donating their time as they worked the various stations which included applying temporary tattoos, assisting with the arts and crafts table, and running the games. The event was free to those who attended, most of whom were children ranging from ages two to seven years.
Event Coordinator Matt Abbott stated "If it weren't for the students from Eli Whitney, we would not have been able to put this on." The students had as much fun as the little ghosts and goblins who attended the event.
